I’m halfway through my vacation now. Which means that in three weeks time I’ll initiate the third edit of Project 2. Even though I am enjoying “doing nothing” I feel lazy and unproductive so I literally can’t wait to get started with my writing again! Meanwhile I’d thought I’d give you a quick insight into my life and tell you what I’ve been up to lately.
Well – there isn’t much to say really. I can sum everything up in one word. Skyrim.
But to be fair that’s not all I’ve been doing. I’ve been out buying Christmas present and playing a bit of Professor Layton and the Spectre’s Call!
In other news – My Christmas poem Market of the Christmas Elves was published on the Swedish Christmas Advent site “Tomteboluckan.” Check it out here!
I am also currently reading The Outsider by Albert Camus. Only about 20 pages in (and it’s about 100 in total) but so far I enjoy it a lot. The protagonist’s attitude to life and the outside world is similar to that of my own protagonist in Project 2. I find that quite interesting.
Today I also went into town to get my copy of Star Wars: The Old Republic – Collector’s Edition. The game’s not released (officially) until the 20th of December but I’ve got early access… Yet I can’t access the servers. Oh well. I enjoyed the beta and it will be interesting to see what the full game is like! Especially considering the lengthy development time and production costs. Here’s an interesting quote about the game:
The game is among the most expensive ever made – rumoured to have cost games giant Electronic Arts more than £100 million. But it could ‘earn billions’ say game industry insiders – dwarfing even the amounts earned by cinema blockbusters such as Avatar.
[‘Star Wars: the Old Republic £100M blockbuster is the ‘Avatar’ of gaming,’ (Online) http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-2042394/Star-Wars-Old-Republic-100M-blockbuster-Avatar-gaming.html, Accessed 15th December 2011]
Here are some geeky photos I took of the Collector’s edition.
Here we have the Collector’s Edition box packaging.
Some of the content which includes the soundtrack, a security key, a book with artwork and information about the game and the Star Wars universe, some ‘official’ Republic and Sith papers and…
… a map of the Star Wars Universe!
Lastly you get a statue of Darth Malgus.
Enough pictures… Before writing this post I pondered making a vlog instead (you know, a video clip with me narrating instead of writing all of this down). But that would just be troublesome and no one would watch it. Or?
Also – I think most comments would be about not hearing what I say because of my Viking accent.

Hahahahaha aww come on, I would watch the video (and NOT laugh at your accent!). Albert Camus – French author! 😉 I’ll add the book to my to-read list.
Oh and congrat’s on your poem being used for that website!! 😀
Haha, you know what, I think you would laugh a bit 😉
I might do something later. I didn’t buy a £100 microphone for nothing.
Yes you should! It’s really short as well (and funny). Will finish it today or tomorrow Depends on how much time I can spare for reading.
Thank you! It is nice to have my poetry published elsewhere. Considering trying to get one or two into magazines but I’ll probably wait a bit. We’ll see 🙂
Well maybe you have a funny or unusual accent, but at least you write better English than most people!! 😉 I have a slight accent too (I am French) but since I live in Australia, it has kind of left me …
I would totally watch the video! And congrats on the poem!
Good to know 😀 Thank you!
You should give “vlogs” 😀 a go! i’m sure it’ll work…oh congrats on “market of the christmas eve” – nice piece! 🙂
Thank you! 😀 Yes I will begin doing vlogs next year 😉
I would be glad to watch it!
It’s good to know! 😀 I will be doing it from next year and on! I’ll at least give it a try.
I for one am glad you decided to blog instead of talk because I live in the country and only have dial up; so I never get to watch videos and have been told I’m missing out on a lot because of it.
Slow internet is always a problem. It’s the same when I’m on my phone and I have bad reception. Text is always better 😉
