Babylon’s Embrace

Babylon’s Embrace

The thoughts living beneath my skin –

how can they shape reality if bound by flesh?

To compose music

I cut trees with bones

To create life

I feed the sterile to maggots

To write a story

I become all and everything.

If not conceived of  a jackal,

how am I a prophet?

These are your thoughts

as I hear them.

Look up!

A thousand horses of darkness gallop across the sky

In their wake I see the face of Death.
